Raw, fresh fruit can provide you with a healthy and convenient nutrient-packed snack option. You can also slice some fruit into your morning oatmeal, or place some in your blender for a rich smoothie.
Here is a berry smoothie that's sure to please:
Awesome Berry Smoothie (makes 1 serving)
½ cup blackberries
½ cup blueberries
½ medium banana
1 tsp chia seeds
1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Process at high speed until well combined.
3. You may want to add ice (or cold water), depending on how cold and thick you like your smoothie. Enjoy!
Healthy Habit: Eat raw, fresh fruit daily. Makes a great pick-me-up snack. Carry a small container of fresh fruit with you for those moments when you crave something sweet. It will save you from running into the donut shop :) What's your favourite fruit?
