If you're like many of us who are trying to reduce the amount of chemicals and other toxins you come in contact with, you will want to try this do-it-yourself deodorant. All you need are three simple ingredients.
Most store-bought deodorants contain harmful irritants such as aluminum, parabens, perfumes and more. Just look at the label. Think of how often you use deodorant (probably daily). This means that you are getting a daily dose of toxins - not good!
There are many DIY deodorant recipes online. I like things that are simple to make and easy to use, with ingredients that are readily available.
DIY Deodorant Recipe
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup baking soda (aluminum-free)
8 to 12 drops of lemongrass essential oil
Place all 3 ingredients in a small glass jar and mix with a fork until well blended. Voilà!
There are many other antibacterial essential oils you can try. Find a scent that you enjoy!
To use, simply dip two fingertips into the jar and gently rub the mixture into your underarms. If it feels too abrasive, add some extra coconut oil.

Thankfully the human body has the ability to communicate with us when things are not quite as they should be. It is up to us to pay attention to these messages and take action.
Look at the following list and ask yourself, “Do I suffer from one or more of these symptoms?” “Is this something that has affected me for a while?” Though we all react differently to toxins, these are some of the common symptoms that can be associated with toxic overload:
Until the next one, eat well, stay active, live happy and enjoy a Healthy Body for Life!
