We have just celebrated Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. This becomes a time of reflection when we ask ourselves the question, "Have I done the things that I set out to do at the beginning of the year? Ah yes, the New Year's resolutions!
This can sometimes leave us feeling unfulfilled, unhappy, upset and dissatisfied with ourselves.
I propose that we ask ourselves these 4 questions instead.
We may find that we usually judge ourselves from a place of lack rather than from a place of abundance. By answering these 4 questions, we can shift our focus to a more positive frame of mind. I am certain that we can all list many things that we are grateful for, that made us happy, that went well, that gave us a sense of accomplishment.
I challenge all of us to answer these questions this week, so that we can begin the New Year on a positive note.
I feel very blessed with how things went for me this year. On a personal level, we celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary, greeted our 5th grandchild, and visited Thailand and Europe. These all brought joy into my life and filled me with gratitude.
From a health standpoint, I feel great. A few months ago I hired a personal trainer to help me take my training to the next level. I am very grateful for my progress thus far and I am looking forward to kicking it up a notch this coming year.
As an Author and Speaker, I am very grateful for how things have developed. After launching my book late last year, Healthy Body for Life went on to sell about 900 copies worldwide and continues to grow. I have had the pleasure to share my message with several groups of women, and I am grateful that I already have some bookings for the New Year.
As Zig Ziglar states,
"You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success,
and endowed with the seeds of greatness."
Wishing you every success in the coming year!
I have been blessed with great book sales this past year,
and I would like to do something for those in need this Christmas.
For each book purchased through my website, from now until December 20th, I will donate $2 to the local Food Bank.
Give the gift of health this Christmas and you will be donating to a worthy cause too!
This book makes a great gift or stocking stuffer for Mother, Sister, Auntie, Girlfriend, Co-worker, Neighbour, YOU!
Wishing you a healthy and happy day!
Happy New Year 2017!
We are all inclined to examine our life at the beginning of a new year and strive to improve. This usually leads us to make New Year's resolutions.
Like most of us, you have probably made 'health' goals in the past, but soon became too overwhelmed by all the things you had to do to improve your health. It's too easy to quit after just a few short weeks. Let's strive to make this year different.
In my new book, HEALTHY BODY FOR LIFE, you will enjoy easy-to-implement strategies in each chapter, that will help you improve your overall health, wellness and fitness.

My husband and I made a road trip to Edmonton on Saturday October 22, 2016. I had a wonderful experience as a vendor at the INBF Bodybuilding show at the Maclab Centre for Performing Arts in Leduc, close to Edmonton. It was great to re-connect with my INBF bodybuilding family. I competed with this federation 5 times between 2009 and 2011 and have many excellent memories and trophies.
I enjoyed having the opportunity to present my book in a new city.
I look forward to many more such experiences.
My first book signing at Chapters in Dalhousie, Calgary.
It was wonderful to have so many people come and support me at my first book signing. Family, friends, clients and Chapters customers – it was great to meet and visit with all of you. You helped make my debut a great one!
