Day 29 of the 30 Days of Healthy Habits: CHALLENGE YOURSELF!
Every year, I give myself a quote, to help me stay motivated and focused on my goals. This year my quote is,
“There is no growth in the comfort zone, there is no comfort in the growth zone.”
In order to change, to grow, to be more, we have to get out of our comfort zone - we must challenge ourselves. Don't be afraid of a little discomfort - it's part of every change process.
Every worthwhile endeavour takes some amount of effort. When you think back on your life, for example, getting an education. Was it easy? I can bet that it was a challenge - that it required work. But the reward was so worth it!
It's no different when it comes to our health. By implementing a few simple habits, by challenging ourselves to do more today than we did yesterday, we can achieve our desired level of health.
This famous quote rings true, "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."
Challenge, therefore, creates change!
